When one of our Hinterland Pools Team members are assigned your pool, they follow a standard proven approach:
Our pool technician will contact you prior to their arrival: to confirm timing, check if there are any specific concerns you might have with your pool, and identify any obstacles e.g. over-excited dogs to be considered. This also helps to ensure they stock enough chemical supplies for the job.
We skim your swimming pool to remove any floating debris and clean the pool bottom. As we go, we perform a visible check for algae and stains which may indicate underlying issues.
Our pool technician will run a comprehensive test on your pool water to check chlorinity, salinity, alkalinity and hardness. This enables us to identify and confirm the current balance of the pool and the chemical adjustments required to re-balance your pool.
Based on test results, we apply the appropriate dosages of minerals and chemicals to re-balance your swimming pool. If we have identified an issue which may require special treatment, our technician will discuss the options with you, as this may require an additional visit to re-balance the pool after applying the appropriate chemical solution e.g. shocking the pool.
Our pool technician will also perform physical checks of all pool equipment, such as pumps, filters, chlorinators, etc. to identify any potential or actual issues. Water tests assist in this process, but highlighting imbalances which occur through poorly performing pool infrastructure.
Once the service is complete, the Hinterlands Pool technician will update their service notes in our Pool Trakr database, and advise you of any concerns that should be highlighted to you. If follow-up tasks are required based on their findings, then we will consult with you for your confirmation for us to schedule. If mechanical repairs are identified, then we will call and discuss our findings, provide you with options, so you can make an informed decision on how to proceed. But most importantly, you can relax in the knowledge that your pool is in optimal swimming condition!
